Customer reminders

Customer reminders help your shoppers never miss a gift-giving date — and gently bring them back to your store when one is coming up. Customers save the dates themselves; this page lets you see what they've saved.

What a reminder is

From their account (My account → Reminders), a customer records an important date — a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day or something else. They note who it's for, how far ahead they'd like to be reminded, and can mark it as recurring each year.

What Shopkit does with it

Ahead of each saved date, Shopkit emails the customer a friendly heads-up — "so-and-so's birthday is in 7 days" — together with a handful of product picks as gift inspiration, linking straight back to your store. The lead time (how many days before) is chosen by the customer per reminder. Recurring dates roll over to next year automatically.

The Reminders page

Go to Reminders to see every active reminder across all your customers, ordered by which date is coming up next. Each row shows:

  • Customer — who saved it, with their email.
  • For — the person the occasion is about, and their relationship if given.
  • Occasion — birthday, anniversary and so on.
  • Next occurrence — the upcoming date, tagged recurring where relevant.
  • Lead — how many days before the date the reminder email is sent.
  • Last sent — when the most recent reminder email went out, or a dash if none yet.

This page is for visibility only — a way to gauge upcoming demand and see who's engaged. There's nothing to fill in here; customers manage their own reminders, and the emails go out on their own schedule. If no customers have added dates yet, the list stays empty.

You might pair this with your newsletter and abandoned carts as part of keeping shoppers coming back.
